Metal-Guard Bins

Metal-Guard storage bins with VCI corrosion inhibitors incorporated throughout the full thickness of the plastic material. Metal-Guard will protect:

Method of Protection

Protection of metal is by direct contact and by vapour released from the chemicals making up the inhibitor. The vapour deposits in the form of a molecular layer on all surfaces of metals in the storage bin. It passivates the corrosive action of moisture and oxygen. As the corrosive activity increases with higher temperatures, more vapours are released to provide the required protection.

Items packed should be dry, commercially clean and free from acid or akaline contaminates. Acids and akalines decompose the active chemicals and increase potential corrosion.
